It is with such a torn heart that I write this post. Our friends over at Wednesday Lettering and Letterpress have chosen to close their doors, so I wanted to take a second to share one of the more recent projects we did with them, and also take a minute to honor their company and the amazing work they have done. On one half of my heart I am mourning the loss of such talent and creativity in our industry. We are loosing two enthusiastic and forward minded people who can step into a room and make it magical. We were fortunate to work on several projects with them such as, our Sunday Morning Styled Shoot WAY back when Ryan and I were newbies, as well as a Mother's Day shoot, some weddings and several other little projects. Always done top notch, and always working with smiling faces.
On the other half of my heart I am so proud of them for making the choices that are right for their family and their lives together. I know the sacrifice and time that goes into having a small business, and I don't have enough fingers and toes to count how many times I have considered selling all of our camera gear and finding a job that doesn't weigh so much on our lives. But actually deciding to walk away from the business you have invested so much thought, love and time into is almost more scary than taking the leap to start it.
So here's to you Wednesday, good luck on the next leg of your journey! And let's send them off well by selling them out of their existing products on the etsy shop. Here is a little look into their fall line, paperworks designed by Wednesday, Florals & Styling by Juniper Designs, and modeling and styling by Kelsey Smith, and special thanks to the OKC West Elm for props.
