This summer Ryan and I had the pleasure of shooting my cousin Ashley's wedding in Cincinnati (yes, I know, I'm waaaaaay behind on blogging). Ashley and I have always lived several states apart so we didn't get to see much of each other growing up, and then several states away from the rest of my mom's side of the family. So we looked forward all year to get to see all of our family together in one place for her and Danny's wedding. I really can't remember that last time that had happened! And it's so fitting because Ashley did an amazing job putting together a detailed and very personal wedding themed around being a "Family Affair." She had everyone in the family bring wedding pictures and used them as centerpieces, had sweet old notes from grandparents, and since it happened to be our grandpa's birthday that day, she even had a special table honoring him and a birthday cake.
Ashley & Danny's first look was really sweet, even made me tear up. Which is an occupational hazard in my line of business.
One of the coolest things Ashley & Danny did was for their guest book they they had everyone sign a big slice of tree trunk and they are going to make it into a table, how neat is that?!
Instead of doing a bouquet toss, Ashley decided to give her flowers to our Grandma to honor her. Our grandparents have been married for over 60 years.
