We make beds for flowers

Ha. I like that title because it makes us sound like we are so ambitious when it comes to things outside of our day to day responsibilities. Which is not true. We have lived in our house for 2.5 years and we have just started to make improvements. And since we are not regular household-enhancing-enthusiasts, our little flower bed project becomes blog worthy. That's right, I'm going to make you all look at it.

Our first summer project was to build a flower bed on the east side of the house. We wanted something to keep erosion from happening since we are on a bit of an incline, so we decided to do a rock flower bed. I wish I had thought to take pics durring the whole process, but I didn't think about it until 3/4 of the way through. And I call myself a photographer...

Please excuse the meconium brown color of our house. That was summer house project #2. Pictures of vast improvement to come soon.

Ta-da! All done! I hope to plant a bunch of hydrangeas next spring. But we felt like we needed to reward ourselves with at least some little flowers for now.

Our next project is to get new shutters. And some grass.

Don't Forget!
