For about the past week, I (and my wonderful Sister and Mother-in-law) have been visiting sin city for a photography conference called WPPI. It was my first time in Vegas, and I swear I was like a squirrel, looking every which direction, being distracted by shiny things. Totally the most bazaar place I've ever been. Has anyone else gone? Did you think it was as weird as I did?
One of the most wonderful things I got to do was a Shoot Out with Justin and Mary. I can not sing enough praises of these two. I was totally charmed by their humble and giving spirits. They ran a contest to win a spot in their Shoot Out, and I was so blessed to have received one. They shared some of their posing techniques, workflow and marketing tips, as well as let us shoot one on one with models as they critiqued and gave tips. I, of course, was totally intimidated to give directions and pose in front of 20+ super talented photographers, but I think the experience was completely wonderful. It's good for me to be taken out of my comfort zone a little :)
I can't say thank you enough to these two! They have a workshop tour called Spread the Love, and I am now just dying to go to one (so sad, none near me :( But I'm totally planning for one next year!), but if you are looking for a photography workshop I confidently recommend theirs. Just in the hour I spend with them I feel like I learned so much, and I know a whole workshop with them would be incredible.
That's all for now, but stay tuned for a romantic desert shoot! xoely
